Leaders and Laggards Report Card Series
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce have released a series of state-by-state K-12 report cards measuring issues on effectiveness (2007) and innovation (2009). In 2012, the Chamber will release a state-by-state report card on Public Postsecondary Education. Read below to learn more.

2009: Leaders and Laggards: A State-by-State Report Card on Educational Innovation
On November 9, 2009 the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Center for American Progress, and Frederick M. Hess with the American Enterprise Institute, released a state-by-state report card evaluating educational innovation, defined as, "the process of leveraging new tools, talent, and management strategies to craft solutions that were not possible in an earlier era" and seeks to catalyze flexible, performance-oriented cultures that can help drive system-wide change.
2007: Leaders and Laggards: A State-by-State Report Card on Educational Effectiveness
On February 28th, 2007 the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, along with the Center for American Progress and Frederick M. Hess of the American Enterprise Institute released a state-by-state report card reflecting the performance of the 50 states and Washington, DC on their K-12 education systems.
